Do you love systems? Are you a leader of people? I need your help. My name is Lance Fryrear and I am the sole owner of a 10+ person criminal defense law firm in the greater Seattle area, Lynnwood WA. We have developed a reputation as one of the best criminal defense firms in the state, with almost 250 five-star reviews on Google. The firm has grown from just me, and two flip cell phones, to 10 employees and all the best technology over the past 20 years. We help over 400people a year get through the worst experience of their life.
What is the problem? I have taken it as far as I can. I am not a systems person – I do my best, but you can do better.
I am seeking a people-loving, systems-loving Director of Operations who wants to make a difference in the world.

Responsibilities
1. Directing the operations of the Firm
- Managing the non-attorney staff
- Monitoring the attorney staff and reporting to the managing attorney on issues on the case progress, client contact, or other case production issues
- Developing and holding team members accountable to key performance indicators Improving time on desk metrics (resolving cases more quickly)
- Creating, implementing, and monitoring processes for the smooth operation of the firm including, but not limited to, the following areas:
- i. Case production
- ii. Marketing
- iii. Sales
- iv. Talent Acquisition and Retention
- v. Client Experience
2. Assisting the owner in implementing and managing Firm Projects
- Community Outreach
- Space acquisition
3. Financial Controls
- Budgeting
- Firm projected revenue

Qualifications
- High follow-through (Kolbe), strong emotional intelligence, local or willing to relocate, deductive reasoning skills, proactive, problem solver, creative, solid, and steady.
- Undergraduate degree in business (MBA is nice, JD is nice).
- 5-10 years of experience running operations in a law firm or small Business to Client model is nice
- Experience in running meetings, managing people, data analytics, and human resources
