Criminal Defense Attorney

Come join our five-attorney criminal defense firm in Lynnwood, Washington. Close to shopping and multiple chicken shops, which is a plus. We mention it only since you will need your energy to help multiple clients a day. You will be in court immediately and carry your own caseload - a combination of misdemeanors, felonies, motions, and order hearings.
Can you close a sale? We will expect you to handle consultations with incoming leads.
Salary is dependent upon experience in criminal law. We have a generous incentive program based on your performance and production. 401k retirement with matching and healthcare are provided as well because we want to keep our team healthy and secure.

Responsibilities
- Prepare various legal documents, such as motions, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence
- Perform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motions
- Represent clients in court to argue motions during legal proceedings
- Identify client conflicts and determine case strategies with options for resolution
- Advise clients by weighing available options toward a successful outcome and plan a course of action
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a law firm for a minimum of 1-2 years required
- Ability to use Microsoft Office is required
- Strong knowledge of legal research programs such as Westlaw and Lexis products is required
- Successful completion of accredited law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree with 2 years of related experience
